Who We Are
Pull The Plug is a grassroots organisation supporting collective action and campaigns for systemic change. We use digital tools and store data to run our campaign, make data-driven decisions, contact people, tailor our campaigning, and more. If you sign up to Pull The Plug, we will store your information securely in our systems.

What Data We Collect
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Your phone number.
- Your signal username
- Your postcode / address details.
- Emails or messages you have sent us.
- Your contact preferences.
- Whether you are a student
Technical Details (Some of this information may be collected inadvertently by our systems and may not be stored)
- IP address.
- Browser info.
- Website cookies.
- Referrer details.
We try to only collect data where necessary. We do not sell, trade, rent or give your data to any third party outside of our systems. We store your data until it is no longer needed, and strive to delete data once it is no longer being used. Our systems are maintained by Pull The Plug, as well as trusted organisations with whom we are affiliated. Your data is stored within and does not go outwith the the UK. GDPR rules are observed.
What We Do With Your Data
We store and process your data in accordance with this document. We use this data to:
- Contact our supporters by phone, email, etc.
- Inform supporters of upcoming events and other things.
- Tailor events based on supporter information such as location.
- Improve our services.
- Understand demographics and make other analyses to improve our campaign efforts.
Your Rights
- You have the right to be forgotten. You may, at any time, contact Pull The Plug by writing to tech@pulltheplug.uk with the subject line 'GDPR Deletion Request', and we will remove you from our systems in accordance with GDPR and Data Protection laws.
- You have the right to view the data that we have stored about you. You also have the right to access this data for your own purposes.
- You have the right to update your details in case they are incorrect.
- You have the right to object to your data being processed. In this case, we will treat this request as a request for the deletion of your data. Though there may be cases in which our continued processing of your data is justified, we do not want to process your data without your consent.
- You have the right to be informed about when data is being collected about you. We will always aim to provide notice wherever data is being collected.
